Poor timing
by Andrew A. Anissi
When am I at my stupidest?
That would be when I'm in the same room as a girl I'm interested in. My intelligence reaches a level that only pounding a pint of bourbon or getting punched in the head could bring about so rapidly.
When am I at my smartest?
That would be about two minutes after a girl I'm interested in leaves the room. I suddenly morph into the wittiest, cleverest, most charming person imaginable. My this-is-what-I-should-have-said-and-done lines are nothing but pure genius. They could separate wives from husbands. You remember how Paris of Troy was so charming that Helen of Sparta betrayed King Menelaus and caused all of Greece to go to war? Yeah, about two minutes after a girl I'm interested in leaves the room, I'm more charming than that. It's hell.

The doom of monists
by Andrew A. Anissi
Those who live without the world of Spirit live ugly, pathetic, frivilous, stupid, meaningless lives. These disgusting people pursue nothing but self-indulgence and comfort, live constantly in fear of death, and die unhappy, unfulfilled, and full of regret.

U.S. Could Be Going Bankrupt
by Edmund Conway
Dated: July 14, 2006
SOURCE: Telegraph, U.K.
[It's disgusting and outrageous that our government is betraying us to the point of economic collapse. -ed.]
The United States is heading for bankruptcy, according to an extraordinary paper published by one of the key members of the country's central bank.
A ballooning budget deficit and a pensions and welfare timebomb could send the economic superpower into insolvency, according to research by Professor Laurence Kotlikoff for the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis, a leading constituent of the US Federal Reserve.
Prof Kotlikoff said that, by some measures, the US is already bankrupt. "To paraphrase the Oxford English Dictionary, is the United States at the end of its resources, exhausted, stripped bare, destitute, bereft, wanting in property, or wrecked in consequence of failure to pay its creditors," he asked.
According to his central analysis, "the US government is, indeed, bankrupt, insofar as it will be unable to pay its creditors, who, in this context, are current and future generations to whom it has explicitly or implicitly promised future net payments of various kinds''.
The budget deficit in the US is not massive. The Bush administration this week cut its forecasts for the fiscal shortfall this year by almost a third, saying it will come in at 2.3pc of gross domestic product. This is smaller than most European countries - including the UK - which have deficits north of 3pc of GDP.
Prof Kotlikoff, who teaches at Boston University, says: "The proper way to consider a country's solvency is to examine the lifetime fiscal burdens facing current and future generations. If these burdens exceed the resources of those generations, get close to doing so, or simply get so high as to preclude their full collection, the country's policy will be unsustainable and can constitute or lead to national bankruptcy.
"Does the United States fit this bill? No one knows for sure, but there are strong reasons to believe the United States may be going broke."
Experts have calculated that the country's long-term "fiscal gap" between all future government spending and all future receipts will widen immensely as the Baby Boomer generation retires, and as the amount the state will have to spend on healthcare and pensions soars. The total fiscal gap could be an almost incomprehensible $65.9 trillion, according to a study by Professors Gokhale and Smetters.
The figure is massive because President George W Bush has made major tax cuts in recent years, and because the bill for Medicare, which provides health insurance for the elderly, and Medicaid, which does likewise for the poor, will increase greatly due to demographics.

The kitten was born Wednesday morning in Ohio. It has two mouths that meow in unison, two noses and four eyes that have not opened yet.
The little boy who owns the cat said he hasn't decided on a name for the kitten yet, but said he wants to name it Tiger.
Two other kittens were in the same litter, but they are normal.
Veterinarians say this occurrence is very rare, but the kitten could be just fine. It has already begun nursing just like the other kittens in the litter.

Rochester Raging Rhinos Defeat Miami FC 5-4
by Andrew A. Anissi

The first half of the game ended with Miami ahead 1-0. Determined not to be beaten again in their brand new stadium at Paetec Park, Rochester quickly scored three goals at the beginning of the second half. These goals were scored by Matthew Delicate, Connally Edozian, and Greg Howes.
Miami was furious at its rapidly diminishing hopes of winning and came back with two more goals of its own, and constant physical attacks on Rhinos players that resulted in multiple yellow cards Miami players and a red card ejection for Miami's Jeffrey Matteo.
Rochester scored its fourth goal and approached the end of the game with a 4-3 lead, but with about 2 minutes left in the game, Miami's Mario Rodriguez fell into goalie box and was awarded a penalty kick. Romario, a former Major League Soccer player and Brazilian legend, scored the penalty kick, tying the game at 4-4, but in the last minute of the game, during stoppage time, the Rhinos' Ricky Lewis scored another goal, winning the game for Rochester.

The Dark Carnival Descends on Washington State
by Andrew A. Anissi
Dated: July 15, 2006
|
Reports have stated that the Juggalos, with faces painted like angry clowns and dark clothing with clown insignias, robbed people at night, assaulted them machetes, and threatened beheadings.
A group from Detroit, Michigan known as the "Insane Clown Posse" first described the "Juggalos" through six musical works referred to as "Joker Cards." It was prophecized that after the unveiling of the sixth Joker card, a Dark Carnival would sweep across the land, comprised of "a parade of freaks, jugglers and death."
Though the incidents in Washington state likely have no direct connection to the Insane Clown Posse or their prophecy, the multiplicity of such incidents could give rise to a stand alone complex, with obsessed fans, copycats, and adherents creating the Dark Carnival by repeated "Juggalo" acts, even though an original source never existed.

Sama
The name of the Babylonian sun god, Shammash, comes from an older word, "Sama" which meant servant. In Japanese, "Sama" means "Sir." Japan is a place of sun worship, dating back to an Aryan incursion into Japan around the historical time of Amaterasu. Is there a connection?

Despite potential controversy, a former SS officer set to open a memorial near Millard
By Donna Lenz Wright/The Week

"Hitler did nothing.
"When the war happened, he tried everything diplomatic--everything.
"The soldiers of the Third Reich never stole anything. I fought next to them. They were good men. Never times were they bad.
"Not one person was gassed to death in the Third Reich."
This is what Ted Junker of Millard believes.
Junker says he was born in 1919 in Germany and fought as a German Waffen-Schutzstaffel (SS) officer during World War II.
For 60 years he has mulled over what he remembers happening during those years. And in the years since he has come to see those events as totally opposite from how they are commonly told.
"When I was laying in bed at night, I would ask, 'How is it possible that people get so misinformed?'" he says through a strong German accent.

Teaching Math, 1950 to the Present
by Dr. Bennett Hermann
Dated July 8, 2006
Last week I purchased a burger and fries at McDonalds for $3.58. The counter- girl took my $4.00 and I pulled 8 cents from my pocket and gave it to her. She stood there, holding the nickel and 3 pennies. While looking at the screen on her register, I sensed her discomfort and tried to tell her to just give me two quarters, but she hailed the manager for help. While he tried to explain the transaction to her,she stood there and cried. Why do I tell you this? Because of the evolution in teaching math since the 1950s......
Teaching Math In 1950: A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of productionis 4/5 of the price. What is his profit?
Teaching Math In 1960: A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price, or $80. What is his profit?
Teaching Math In 1970: A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80. Did he make a profit?
Teaching Math In 1980: A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80 and his profit is $20 Your assignment: Underline the number 20 and ask an older relative to explain the word production to you.
Teaching Math In 1990: A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of $20. What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class discussion after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers.)
Teaching Math In 2006: Un ranchero vende una carretera de madera para $100. El cuesto de la produccion era $80. Cuantos tortillas se puede comprar?

Congressman McFadden's Speech on the Federal Reserve
The Federal Reserve-A Corrupt Institution
"Mr. Chairman, we have in this Country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks, hereinafter called the Fed. The Fed has cheated the Government of these United States and the people of the United States out of enough money to pay the Nation's debt. The depredations and iniquities of the Fed has cost enough money to pay the National debt several times over.
"This evil institution has impoverished and ruined the people of these United States, has bankrupted itself, and has practically bankrupted our Government. It has done this through the defects of the law under which it operates, through the maladministration of that law by the Fed and through the corrupt practices of the moneyed vultures who control it.
"Some people who think that the Federal Reserve Banks United States Government institutions. They are private monopolies which prey upon the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers; foreign and domestic speculators and swindlers; and rich and predatory money lender. In that dark crew of financial pirates there are those who would cut a man's throat to get a dollar out of his pocket; there are those who send money into states to buy votes to control our legislatures; there are those who maintain International propaganda for the purpose of deceiving us into granting of new concessions which will permit them to cover up their past misdeeds and set again in motion their gigantic train of crime.
"These twelve private credit monopolies were deceitfully and disloyally foisted upon this Country by the bankers who came here from Europe and repaid us our hospitality by undermining our American institutions. Those bankers took money out of this Country to finance Japan in a war against Russia. They created a reign of terror in Russia with our money in order to help that war along. They instigated the separate peace between Germany and Russia, and thus drove a wedge between the allies in World War. They financed Trotsky's passage from New York to Russia so that he might assist in the destruction of the Russian Empire. They fomented and instigated the Russian Revolution, and placed a large fund of American dollars at Trotsky's disposal in one of their branch banks in Sweden so that through him Russian homes might be thoroughly broken up and Russian children flung far and wide from their natural protectors. They have since begun breaking up of American homes and the dispersal of American children. "Mr. Chairman, there should be no partisanship in matters concerning banking and currency affairs in this Country, and I do not speak with any.
"In 1912 the National Monetary Association, under the chairmanship of the late Senator Nelson W. Aldrich, made a report and presented a vicious bill called the National Reserve Association bill. This bill is usually spoken of as the Aldrich bill. Senator Aldrich did not write the Aldrich bill. He was the tool, if not the accomplice, of the European bankers who for nearly twenty years had been scheming to set up a central bank in this Country and who in 1912 has spent and were continuing to spend vast sums of money to accomplish their purpose.
"We were opposed to the Aldrich plan for a central bank. The men who rule the Democratic Party then promised the people that if they were returned to power there would be no central bank established here while they held the reigns of government. Thirteen months later that promise was broken, and the Wilson administration, under the tutelage of those sinister Wall Street figures who stood behind Colonel House, established here in our free Country the worm-eaten monarchical institution of the "King's Bank" to control us from the top downward, and from the cradle to the grave.
"The Federal Reserve Bank destroyed our old and characteristic way of doing business. It discriminated against our 1-name commercial paper, the finest in the world, and it set up the antiquated 2-name paper, which is the present curse of this Country and which wrecked every country which has ever given it scope; it fastened down upon the Country the very tyranny from which the framers of the Constitution sough to save us.
